i’ve been going crazy over these jeans for a while. they are hand made in oakland, ca by a man named roy slaper. he creates every pair with his hands. puts every rivet, button, belt loop, etc. in him self with all these great hand operated machines. using a cone selvedge denim, everything is made in the good ol’ USofA.
what i have here are a few pictures after my initial hot water soak. nothing too crazy. it held it’s indigo well. the patch changed minor. they were about 1 1/2”-2” too big when i tried them on and they fit perfect after the “shrink”. i just got them hemmed and can’t wait to wear them out.

Or: the week where Michiganders out do themselves in demonstrating their love of all old automobiles by driving said old automobiles up and down Woodward Avenue simply because they can. It’s actually a pretty cool event, it’s got all sorts of history behind it.
This car in particular is an MG TD. For my fellow pledgies, I like to think Charles keeps one of these in his garage. It kind of suits him, no?
